Stronger Together: QIBN Launches Membership

Almost a third of Australia’s Indigenous businesses operate in Queensland yet, many still face barriers to visibility, opportunity, and representation. The Queensland Indigenous Business Network (QIBN) was created to change that.

Founded by experienced Indigenous business owners, QIBN strengthens and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned, -managed and -controlled businesses through advocacy, visibility, and connection. Members gain verified credibility, access to resources and events, and a voice in the spaces where decisions are made.

At its core, QIBN is more than a network. It is a movement for economic prosperity and self-determination.

Rockhampton Region Applauds Indigenous Businesses

Leading Indigenous businesses, entrepreneurs and community champions gathered in Rockhampton to celebrate the strength, innovation and contributions of Queensland’s Indigenous business sector at Advance Rockhampton’s Indigenous Business Month Celebration, delivered in partnership with the Queensland Indigenous Business Network (QIBN).

Centred on this year’s theme, Strength Through Collaboration, the event highlighted the power of partnerships in driving economic development, entrepreneurship and community prosperity. Attendees heard from Indigenous business leaders during a panel discussion and celebrated local excellence through the annual awards ceremony, recognising cultural impact, collaboration and rising talent.

QIBN Board Director Leann Wilson said the celebration reflected the true meaning of collaboration, where “businesses, community and government work side by side to build stronger futures.”
